Meet Dr. Albert Malvehy – Miami Vein Specialist. Dr. Malvehy is a uniquely qualified vein doctor serving the Miami, Miami Beach and Delray Beach areas.

Dr. Malvehy is certified by the American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine

Dr. Malvehy was born and raised in Miami Beach. There he was a Medical Scholar at the University Of Miami Miller School Of Medicine before graduating from University of Miami Honors Program in Medicine. Dr. Malvehy began his clinical career at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey as Resident Physician and went on to earn his Masters of Business Administration at Duke University while he was the Attending Physician at Durham Regional Hospital for the Duke University Health System.

Dr. Malvehy is certified by the American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine (www.abvlm.org). Only 1% of physicians who treat vein disease have earned this challenging certification, with about 675 physicians currently certified by the Board.

“I take pride in being a vein doctor and focusing my practice on this emerging field. One of the most rewarding parts of my practice is having patients come to me that have already had a treatment failure, were told they needed vein surgery or were told there was nothing that could be done and being able to help them. By combining our diagnostic approach with the most up-to-date and cutting edge vein treatments, I am able to get to the root of the issue for patients and give them real, durable solutions to their vein problems. Whether people are looking for a varicose vein doctor or the best facial vein doctor, I know I can help them.”

From the ABVLM press release:

“It is with great pride that we announce the addition of Dr. Malvehy to this group of diplomats. His certification with the American Board of Venous & Lymphatic Medicine is a direct reflection of his skill, knowledge, and experience in providing quality patient care, and his continued commitment to the advancement of vein care. To become ABVLM certified is truly an accomplishment. Less than 1% of all vein care professionals in the U.S. and Canada have earned certification from the ABVLM.

To become an ABVLM diplomate, an applicant must complete the requisite training and experience qualifications, meet the continuing medical education requisites, and pass a stringent certification examination. Certification periods are ten years and maintenance is dependent on the ability of the diplomate to display competency in four areas of assessment: evidence of professional standing, evidence of commitment to lifelong-learning and periodic self-assessment, evidence of cognitive expertise, and evaluation of performance in practice.”
